The firsts played their game against 10 men, but had to contend with a terrible pitch, and cold and rainy conditions. We found it hard to get a breakthrough against a resolute Croatian defense, and on one of the oppositions few attacks conceded in the first half. We came out stronger in the second period but continually failed to make a positive connection in the final third. We pushed more players forward at the end and with 5 minutes to go Andy West connected a header from Eli’s driven cross and salvaged some pride and a very valuable point. Everyone battled till the end and we have to take that fighting spirit into these last 3 big league games….
