CPR Blacks toppled NIFA SC 4-1 Sunday morning to pick up second consecutive win of the season.

CPR Blacks (2-0-1) showcased a balanced attack with four different players notching goals, including midfielders Andrew Shore and Chris Valentine, and strikers Baha’a Ahmed and Brandon Levy. The defense, under attack by NIFA SC’s strategy of using 3 to 4 players at forward position, maintained another solid performance backed by goalkeeper Ben Zwicker.

Andrew Shore put CPR Blacks on the board early with his first goal of the season. The midfielder’s well placed finish came off effort and cross from Caleb Seeley coming down the flank.

NIFA SC capitalized on a small opportunity of being onside on a rare occasion by heading in a equalizer past Zwicker.

Baha’a Ahmed gave CPR Blacks’ the 2-1 lead by burying his fourth goal of season with a low shot beating NIFA SC’s goalkeeper to the near side.  Soon after Ahmed’s goal CPR Blacks extended their lead 3-1 with a break away shot to the upper corner by Brandon Levy.

Chris Valentine finalized the scoring with CPR Blacks’ fourth and final goal of the game near closing minutes with a diving header from a well placed cross in the box.

Multiple chances by numerous CPR Blacks’ off the posts and crossbar added to the frustrations and kept the score disparity from being wider.

CPR Blacks play away next Sunday to NY Ittihad, location and kick off time are yet to be released.
