In addition to the 11 a side leagues that we play in during the fall, and the winter seasons (CSL and NYMWSL), we also have teams that play in small sides leagues all year round. Some of these are standalone teams, derivative teams, or just the same teams looking to get some extra games in together.
CPPR (Central Park Power Rangers)
CPPR is a squad where the core players come from CPR, and generally these guys played 11 a side with us just a few years ago when our 1st team was in the CSL First Division. While a great bunch of guys, this is no casual game, as they still have it, but the short games just fit better into their current life schedules.
For the Spring 2020 season, they continue to play and challenge for (more) titles in the Bowery Premier D2 on Saturdays and midweek, on their Grand&Essex league.
CPR(burbs)
CPR(burbs) just completed their 1sts season and won the coed Zog Sports Winter season in Montclair NJ, knocking off sister team T.O.W.I.E. in the playoffs. The team is a mix of current and former CPR players, as well as some great new friends who have joined the CPR family. Stay tuned for news on when the band gets back together, hopefully before next winter!
Other Small sided teams:
Throughout the year, we have many other teams going in various leagues, and we’ll add some spotlights from time to time.
